At the heart of this trio's work lie the pleasure of playing and the high-quality interplay between its three musicians. The music to which these three brilliant, mature musical personalities dedicate themselves here is consciously spartan in its harmonies and consists largely of compositions by the artists themselves. Subtle differences in volume and energy levels, as well as alternation between density and transparancy, between lightning-quick releases into musical freedom and fragmented frugality are among the creative means used by this extraordinarily spontaneous group. The group also makes use of a wide range of sounds, from the alto flute to bassclarinet and glockenspiel.
